Quick Fit Silencers can significantly reduce the noise in a dust collection system, improving sound levels from fans and equipment. Due to varying applications, no decibel testing has been performed on this product.

QF Silencers are manufactured as follows:

  • In sizes 3 to 16 inch diameters with 20 gauge metal and 18 to 40 inch diameters with 16 gauge metal, all in either Galvanized or 304SS Stainless Steel
  • Silencers in the 3 to 24 inch diameters come with standard QF ends, while the 26 inches and larger come with a standard Angle Flange ends
  • The outer tube on 14 inch diameter pipe and all smaller sizes, longitudinal seam is laser welded. On sizes 15 inch and greater, seam is lock formed
  • Air flow directional arrows are painted on Silencers for ease of installation
  • D = 2 Inches when Ends are QF.
  • Sizes more than 26 inches come with Angle Flange Ends (ANGFL).
  • Standard QF Rolled Edge ends can be changed to Raw with a defined ID dimension (RawID), Raw with a defined OD dimension (RawOD), No Fitting or just a raw end (NoFit), Flexible hose adapter (RawFlex), Flat Flange (FFL), Angle Flange (ANGFL), or Van Stone (VanStone).

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
