QF Radial Arm Saw Hood

QF Radial Arm Hoods are economically priced small hoods used for local exhaust ventilation and can be quickly produced. These Hoods are specifically designed to be used to collect dust from Radial Arm Saws. Collars and transitions are 20ga with 18ga for rest of body and are manufactured standard galv. with an option of 304SS Steel. Ends are Standard QF rolled edge with an inner diameter of 4,5, or 6”.

Quick Fit Radial Arm Hoods are economically priced small hoods used for local exhaust ventilation and can be quickly produced. These Hoods are specifically designed to be used to collect dust from Radial Arm Saws.

QF Radial Arm Saw Hoods are manufactured as follows:

  • with standard galvanize metal or optional stainless steel in 18 gauge for the body and 20 gauge for the Transitions and Collars
  • The body is spot welded and caulked
  • Collars have a laser welded longitudinal seam and are attached to the body using a raised hemmed, spot welded seamed construction and are caulked
  • Ends are Standard QF rolled edge with an inner diameter of 4,5, or 6 inches
  • Standard QF ends can be changed to Raw with a defined ID dimension (RawID), Raw with a defined OD dimension (RawOD), No Fitting or just a raw end (NoFit), Flexible hose adapter (RawFlex), Flat Flange (FFL), Angle Flange (ANGFL), or Van Stone (VanStone).

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
