QF Router Hood

QF Router Hoods are small hoods for local exhaust ventilation. Dimensionally they are very similar to surface grinder hoods and are often used as a replacement, with a standard 6″ x 12″ opening. QF hoods are manufactured standard with 20ga galv. or optional 20ga 304SS. Square ends are hemmed. Round ends come standard QF.

Quick Fit Router Hoods are small hoods for local exhaust ventilation. They are economically priced and can be quickly produced and are available in standard sizes for standard pricing and quick turnaround. Dimensionally they are very similar to surface grinder hoods and are often used as a replacement. Collars have a laser welded longitudinal seam.

QF Router hoods are manufactured as follows:

  • With a Standard 20 gauge Galvanized metal or an optional 20 gauge Stainless Steel metal and have a raised lap seam that is spot welded, and caulked
  • Square ends have a hemmed edge and come with a standard 6 x 12 Inch opening.
  • Round Ends are standard Quick Fit and come in diameter sizes of 3 and 10 inches
  • Collars are attached to the body by spot welding a raised lapped seam and considered as airflow non-directional
  • Standard QF ends can be changed to Raw with a defined ID dimension (RawID), Raw with a defined OD dimension (RawOD), No Fitting or just a raw end (NoFit), Flexible hose adapter (RawFlex), Flat Flange (FFL), Angle Flange (ANGFL), or Van Stone (VanStone).

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
