QF Jet Cap

The QF Jet Cap is used to prevent rain from entering. The Inner funnel piece allows rain to drain out of ductwork even when system is not running. There are 3 angle brackets for guy wire attachment. They install in seconds with a Standard QF Clamp. QF Jet Caps are manufactured in 3 to 24” in diameter with 20 and 22 ga., Galv. or 304SS.

The Quick Fit Jet Cap is used to prevent rain from entering. The Inner funnel piece allows rain to drain out of ductwork even when system is not running. There are 3 angle brackets for guy wire attachment. They install in seconds with a Standard Quick Fit Clamp.

The QF Jet Cap is manufactured as follows:

  • 3 to 24 inches in diameters with standard 22, 20 and 18 gauge Galvanized or optional 304SS Stainless Steel in the same gauges
  • Top screen is expanded ¾ inch square pattern Koga painted black metal
  • Collars have a laser welded longitudinal seam
  • Jet Caps have a drain conduit which has a ¾ inch diameter used for 6 to 14 inch sizes, a 1 1/2 inch diameter used for 15 to 2 inch sizes, and a 2 inch diameter used for 26 to 40 inch sizes

Jet Caps are available with larger gauge Galvanized Steel in the XD line.

  • Standard QF Rolled Edge ends can be changed to Raw with a defined ID dimension (RawID), Raw with a defined OD dimension (RawOD), No Fitting or just a raw end (NoFit), Flexible hose adapter (RawFlex), Flat Flange (FFL), Angle Flange (ANGFL), or Van Stone (VanStone).

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
