Flanged Elbow

Flanged Elbows are available in standard bend angles of 90°, 60°, 45°, and 30° bends. Flanged elbows from 3 to 7 inches in diameter are press formed; and flanged elbows greater than 8-inch diameter are segmented elbows. Flanged elbows come in galvanized and 304SS metal, and are available up to 18 gauge metal (up to 12 gauge in the XD product line).

Flanged Elbows are used to change the airflow direction in lines of ductwork. Standard and Long Radius Flanged Elbows come with Angle Flanges on both ends, and are available in bend angles of 90°, 60°, 45°, and 30°.

Flanged Elbows are manufactured as follows:

  • In galvanized or 304 stainless steel, from 3 to 40-inch diameters
  • Standard metal thickness for 3 to 24 inch diameters is 20, 22 to 24 gauge with optional 18 gauge. For 26 to 40 inch diameters, is standard 18 gauge
  • 3 to 7 inch diameters are press formed, having formed halves stitch-welded together, and have a bend radius of 1.0CLR
  • 8 inch diameter and larger are manufactured as segmented elbows with a lock form standing seam every 15 degrees and have a bend radius of 1.5CLR
  • 3 to 6 inch diameters in 14 gauge 304SS Stainless Steel are tubed. Standard metal thickness for 304SS 7 to 24 inch diameters is 20 gauge with optional 18 gauge. For 26 to 40 inch diameters, is standard 18 gauge
  • Flange is retained via a Vanstone lip so that bolt holes can easily be aligned with those on existing flanged connections
  • Custom bend radii are available from 0.75CLR to 3.5CLR

Flanged Elbows are also available up to 12 gauge in the XD product line.

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
