QF End Cap

QF End Caps connect easily with the QF clamp and are used to cap-off an unused ducting port. They are ideal for future expansion or when a machine has been moved. All End Caps come standard with a rolled edge and are limited up 24″. QF End Caps are manufactured in galvanized or 304SS metal with a standard 20 to 22ga and an optional 18 or 16ga Galvanized. End Caps also are available in 14ga galvanized metal in the XD line.

Quick Fit End Caps connect easily with the QF clamp and are used to cap-off an unused ducting port. They are ideal for future expansion or when a machine has been moved. All End Caps come standard with a rolled edge and are limited up 24 inches. QF End Caps larger than 24 inches will be a flat plate and angle rings.>/p>

QF End Caps are manufactured as follows:

  • They are manufactured in galvanized or stainless-steel metal up to 24 inches with a standard 20 to 22 gauge (optional with 18 or 16 gauge Galvanized Steel)
  • Solid end plate is crimped in place, similar to a lock form seam

Heavier gauged galvanized metal is available in the XD line.

  • Construction: Collars have a laser welded longitudinal seam.
  • Standard QF ends can be changed to Raw with a defined ID dimension (RawID), Raw with a defined OD dimension (RawOD), No Fitting or just a raw end (NoFit), Flexible hose adapter (RawFlex), Flat Flange (FFL), Angle Flange (ANGFL), or Van Stone (VanStone).

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
