QF End Cap With Bird Screen

QF End Caps with Bird Screen connect easily with the QF clamp and are used in situations where openings are needed to allow air to enter or exit a system. The bird screen keeps foreign objects from entering the system. The bird screen is constructed galvanized wire mesh in a 1/2″ square pattern crimped into place, or it can be replaced with a perforated metal sheet. QF End Caps with Bird Screen come standard up to 24"with a rolled edge. QF End Caps are manufactured in galvanized or 304SS metal with a standard 20ga to 22ga and an optional 18ga or 16ga Galvanized Steel.

NOTES:
  1. At temperatures ranging between 390° F and 480° F, the zinc-iron alloy layers in the galvanized steel will continue to provide a high level of protection from corrosion. However, there may be some peeling, changes in mechanical properties, and reduction in the corrosion protection. Recommended maximum service temperature is 390° F.
  2. For 304 SS metal, bluing may occur at temperatures of 800° F and above.
  3. Rock River Silicone Sealant and Red Devil HVAC/R High Temperature Silicone Sealant are not able to be painted.
